 Vaults & Archives

Welcome to our vaults and archives. This is a monumental work in progress. We hope that eventually that this will give you the complete story of our history from it's roots in cassette culture to our excursions into being an indie label and onto our post millenium digital developments. Keep an eye on the home page for news of updates. Click on the icons below to enter into our different historical periods.

FALLING A DISCOGRAPHY

We are currently ploughing through our archives in an attempt to produce a chronological record of our history. We have several crates full of letters, fanzines that we distributed or contributed to, cassettes and diy private pressing records that we either distributed or released and our intention is to gradually build a picture of the diy music movement of the early 80's in these pages. Eventually we'll have scans from some of the fanzines from the period and any significant letters as well as cassette / record covers and we'll also have soundfiles from some of those great recordings. We are also keen to get in touch with anyone from our past and if you have anything that may be of interest to place in the archive then all the better. If you have a site or know of a site that contains more information on these artists / fanzines let us know and we will add a link. This is a mammoth task and we hope that it will be of interest to you as it develops.

This discography includes several releases that were licensed to us from the bands or other diy labels. This was a common practice during the diy cassette boom. We would duplicate and sell and then pass on a licensing fee (usually 50% of the profit). One or two of these releases were withdrawn because they had been licensed to us via a third party who was not authorised to do so. For the most part though, I am glad to say that the integrity of the diy music movement in the 80's was of a very high standard. Some of the dates given are approximate. It was a long time ago and we have failing memories. It will take some time to arrive at the definitive list, but we will give you what we've got as we go along.

All titles listed are diy cassette albums unless stated otherwise
